Surface Preparation :

  • Take away loose paint, wash off any dirt and grease with detergent.
  • Remove mildew stains as well as Scuff sand glossy surfaces.
  • Also remove all the dust with a damp cloth for allowing drying.
  • Allow new stucco, plaster and masonry to cure for 30 days before priming.
  • Use the primer for repaired or uncoated surfaces. Lock in stains with the first primer coat; if necessary, apply a second primer coat.
  • Finally, clean up your working area.

Application :

  • Use product when the surface and air temperatures are between 10-32°C.
  • Stir paint occasionally. Intermix containers of same product to ensure colour and sheen uniformity.
  • Use a high quality 3/8-1/2" nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or an airless sprayer (.015 spray tip).
  • Coverage is 10-12 m2 per litre depending on the surface texture, porosity and application method.
  • If using a sprayer and thinning is required, thin with water at a rate of no more than 1/2 pint per gallon.
  • Certain colours may require more than one coat for complete hide.

First Aid :

  • If constant difficulty is felt, seek for medical assistance.
  • In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15-20 minutes and get medical attention; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
  • If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air.
  • If swallowed, get medical attention straight away.

Clean Up :

  • Clean all the equipment with water.

Dry Time :

  • Dries to touch in 2 hours at 25°C and 50% humidity, re-coat in 4 hours.
  • Darker colours may require additional dry time between coats.
  • Longer dry time required in cooler temperatures and in higher humidity.
  • After 2-4 weeks, cured paint film may be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive liquid detergent.
  • Dry paint film is mildew resistant.

Important Considerations:

  • Do not open can without reading these instructions.
  • Protect from freezing.
  • To avoid breathing vapours and spray mist, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying.
  • If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air.
  • Obtain professional advice before using.
  • A dust mask does not provide protection against vapours.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • Sanding or scraping the old Alkyd painted surface causes poisonous lead dust. Contact with lead dust or fumes can be a reason for brain damage or other adverse health effects, especially in pregnant women and children.
  • Controlling the exposure of lead or other hazardous maters requires the use of proper protective equipment such as proper fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper containments.
  • Wash thoroughly after handling.
  • Close container after each use.
  • Keep out of reach of children and don't take internally.
